This is a enormous example of Biggs Jasper cut but yet to be polished for display.  The term "jasper" generally refers to opaque varieties of quartz, and  it can occur in most any color. Picture jasper is highly sought after by collectors and Biggs is perhaps the most desirable of them.  It is found in Oregon and like most jaspers the colors and patterns are unique to that area.  This beautiful unpolished slab weighs 19.85 oz. It measures 14" x 8" and the thickness varies up to 1/4" on the front and the rough cut natural rock backside up to 1.5". It has not been polished.  First 8 pictures are dry. Last 4 are wet.
