CROWN RAZOR CO. BOSTON MASS. The blade is 2 & 7/8 inches long - just the blade itself. Overall from the end to end 5 & 3/8 inches long with no nicks or chips. This is not my usual fare so bear with me. Does have darkening on the surface by the words Crown Razor but it's not rust. On the blade is engraved BARBERS SPECIAL with some pretty Victorian looking scrollwork. The black plastic handles has no visible nicks or chips. I have tested this piece for bakelite using semi-chrome polish and it is bakelite. I think it was produced somewhere around 1910.

The box - well I'm not expert on these matters. It is from someone named John Weis Nashville, Tenn. The other end very small says Made in Germany. Then there's that Ho-made notation - apparently it meant something else way back then - just kidding. I don't know if the box was made in Germany from this John Weis guy then he got the razor from Boston? Perhaps it's a marriage - box and razor? Anyway - the inside sleeve is really nice and the one side with the John on it is in decent shape but the shorter one where it joins is well worn. Hope you can make out the pictures - if I forgot something just ask - I'm generally around.
