Interesting piece - true salmon colored shell crafted into the shape of butterfly wings. High polished gold plate. As with all things made by Mother Nature the wings do not completely lay flat onto the metal. The 2 tiny wings over the shell (middle) are slightly elevated. The wings also slightly move - not sure if that was the way theey were made or not. I moved them on the backside so you could see that (pictures 3-4) This one measures 2 1/8 inches across. I do have another piece in jade coming up in another listing - that one of course is jade green This one is the only piece I have in the shell.
