Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver. Obverse: Features the American flag and an Eagle within a wreath along with the weight and purity. Reverse: Displays the words, “Minted From U.S. Strategic Stockpile Silver” and “Formerly Stored at U.S. Assay Office in San Francisco.”  Secondary Market Silver stored in container as shown - not minty untouched new - could use a polish i so desired. Only one I have - hard to find now. This round is dated 1981, this rounds is over 40 years old.

  • Production Centers: The most common ingots originated from the New York Assay Office (1854–1982) and the San Francisco Assay Office (which operated as a mint but was renamed an assay office from 1962 to 1988).
