I've never sent this ball off to an authenticators - never felt the need to.
So I had it wrapped in the container with aluminum foil stuck in a drawer forever. I've purchased the plastic stand thing it's on - he had it wrapped in a ball of aluminum foil. I've checked that signature many times and the little old man I bought it from seemed like an honest man - he was the original owner of the ball. The signature is right. The date is faint but there - it says 1977. It's funny how I got it - In 1994 the Northridge earthquake happened. I had just flown into LAX. Couldn't take the 10 as it collapsed. My sister and I had to take the surface streets. Sepulveda? Can't remember. We happened upon an old 2nd hand store and decided why not? And that where I found it. I don't know what else to tell you. Just looking for a new home with someone who appreciates Hank Aaron - an overlooked player with a great history.
