Guessing on the USA thing - really no clue where it was made. I bought this for my mother years ago. She was just crazy about roosters. Absolutely no information on the company or the age - there is no key. It is being sold as is. My mother passed a few years back and I'm starting to eliminate some of her things. I swear you can use this thing as a weapon - it is so heavy! Weighs 163 grams - paperweight? It's brass and the rooster and the words Cruso are deeply set into the lock on both sides. I guess it could be polished but not by me for sure. Only one I have.
