I didn't do too much to this piece - I did remove the cheap plastic fake coral cab over the head of the scarab. I replaced it with an old German glass Tut cabochon (1940's era) - lucky for me it fit right into that space. This one is a new commercially produced pin but it is really nice and well made. It measures 3" long and 2" wide. Pave set rhinestones in the scarab and chanel set stones in the chains. There is also a bail built in the backside and can be worn as a necklace if you desire. Nice piece for the egyptian lovers.
