Please make sure you read - first of all I know NOTHING about these razors - I picked it up at an estate sale just because it says Brooklyn NY. It appears to be celluloid because with semi-chrome it does nothing. It measures 6.25" long. I thought it should close completely hiding the razor but upon further examination there is a tiny bar inside that prevents it from closing completely. There is also a curve to one side of the celluloid - no clue if this is original. I thought maybe it's curved for holding in the hand. Here's what I know for sure. It works properly - still has a blade in it which I have not attempted to remove less I slice myself to death. The celluloid is not cracked or chipped. Thanks my extent of knowledge on this one.
