Hayward Heart Locket Valentine 1/20 12K GF Vintage Fabulous DazzleCity

Fabulous vintage Hayward etched locket. This Haward Co was founded in 1851. It is/was one of the very first costume jewelry co. in America. This is a lovely piece from their gold filled locket line which unless I'm wrong was created in 1937. I could be wrong - it has a beautiful victorian design around the edges and an elegant floral design center. This one does have a monogram on the little small center plaque with the initials MLJ in script. The backside has the trim only. Inside has places for 2 pictures. The original "windows" are still intact. There is some age wear to the inside only and I've made no attempt to polish this piece. It measures1 1/8" tall and wide. The bail also has that etching on the top. It's on the original 18" very strong chain. I've had this one for many years - never worn - mint condition. I am an unashamed hoarder of pretty thing but this one needs a new home.
