This is a lovely piece - there's a lot going on. It's a pin/brooch. It's a necklace on a 28 inch gold plated chain. That little round rhinestone enhancer actually comes off the main piece and could I guess be used on other pins if you like. Kinda cool feature. The piece when hanging measures 3 and 1/2 inches long including that little round piece. The gold plated frame is pave set with rhinestones as well as 9 rhinestone spacers set in between the faux pearls and genuine hematite. The bell cap holding the faux pearl drop is also pave set with rhinestones. There are a couple of barely visible flaws on the finish of the pearl. I hope I have captured them in the 1st photo. I think this is fairly typical of these older faux pearls and I personally don't find it distracting at all but feel the need to mention it. I have found this piece on page 134 of the Joan Rivers Jewelry book but with a different configuration - pearls only - I personally love the contrast in this piece better. It's a regular straight bar pin that shuts tight and isn't bent or sticky. This is of course another one and only piece and I have no others to relist once sold. This piece will ship via USPO with delivery tracking. |
