I have had this set in my possession since 1985. It was purchased at the Tucson Gem Show. 1985 was a pretty long time ago for me to remember the exact details. I'd buy a lot of items at these shows and some times memory gets a little blurry. This set was one of my favorite's so I've hung onto it till now. It is signed WP which I attribute to Wilson Padilla a very excellent Navajo silversmith. Excellent inlaid turquoise and coral in both earrings and necklace. The necklace measures 20 inches long with a spring ring clasp. The center drop measures 2.25 inches long. The earrings measure 2 and 5/8 inches long excluding the original fish hooks. I feel like I should switch out those original ear wires but I will leave them in the original condition. If you would like new sterling fish hooks just let me know and I will replace them for you. I have not cleaned this set. I will leave that to the new owner. None of the inlaid stone is chipped - cracked or missing. I think the veining in the turquoise is lovely. The coral is more of a salmon color. Not sure if you can make out the center signed drop or not. It simply states Sterling and then WP. That center drop is the only piece that is stamped. It's a lovely set and the only one I have. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. |
