Expertly carved top side and bottom (underneath) genuine jet black Onyx scarabs. Most excellent detail to the frames. Looks like black hills gold kind of motif with a hint of copper accents. This set comes from my own personal collect ion of Egyptian. I picked them up in Egypt early 90's - no clue how old they are. On the sides of the screw back finding they are stamped 1/20th but you will need a magnifying glass to see it or at least I do. They drop down an overall length of 1.25". The scarabs have very fine signature of the carver underneath which shows thru the finding. Just an excellent pair but sadly another one and only.
