You will never find another piece like this - trust me. It's a rare find. I have an entire collection of casino token hand painted by legendary coin painter Chet Price. 37 years in SinCity I collected them one by one. Each one is a unique masterpiece. This one is from the Pussy Cat a Go Go. Encased in it's own acrylic stand. Eventually I will get them all up. Meanwhile here's some info:
The Pussycat A Go Go was a popular Las Vegas nightclub and casino located at 3255 South Las Vegas Blvd that operated from 1964 to 1971. Known for its 1960s discotheque trend, it featured performances by groups like The Checkmates and issued $1.00 gaming tokens. It was later known as Dirty Sally's.Additionally, a 1965 song titled "Pussycat 'A Go-Go" was released by The Shindigs.
It took me years to pull this set of 80 casinos together. I'm not saying these tokens can't be found but great care was taken. I had to find unused tokens - one that had never been put thru those 1 arm bandits. I always felt this collection should be in the Mob museum. Come back and see the rest as I add them one at a time.
