Estate find - no history to tell - 16" Italian stamped 925 chain. Spring ring clasp - pendant measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" - turquoise inlaid chips with pretty mother of pearl floral design. No broken or missing piece - perfectly intact - circa 1970-1980's  There is a stamp on the backside but it is unrecognizable.  I did put a cloth to the pendant to make sure it polished up and it did - nicely. Chain could use a little washing.
 
Yes ladies (and gents) you can and should wash your jewelry. Years of perfume - hairspray and body oils take a toll on good jewelry.  Never wash a pendant like this so there is not stone loss but the chain? you betcha. Here's my formula
 
About once or twice a year I gather up all my charms - still waiting to be listed.  I put them in a white man's long shock.  Tie them off with a knot and toss them in the next load of laundry (Yes laundry!) I take great care to only put solid sterling in there - no stones. Before you toss the load in the dryer rescue the sock.  I lay out the newly washed but still damp items on a dry towel to air dry.  If you need a quick dry just use your blow dryer. You will be amazed at the hours of rubbing you just saved yourself. I'd say 90% of the time they look like brand new. Give it a shot.
