Butterscotch Bakelite - tested

This is a marriage for sure - the base was put out by Fuller in the late 40's early 50's. It's in beautiful condition still with the paper tag on the side that states Filene's - the cost was $1 !!!. It's a pretty standard holder for those times.  The brush is stamped Nylon Bristles - it's in very good condition with the brush being very soft and pliable and clean. When sitting inside the base the bristles do not touch the bottom hence great shape. Not sure the bristles are bakelite and there is some residue coming off. Only one I have of course.

So folks these bakelite pieces get cut up to use to make jewelry - This one would cut up easily to make big 1/2 hoops.  The bakelite is pristine.
