This is a very nice cut glass smelling salts bottle - sterling silver top with a gemstone set into the top. I think it's either a bloodstone or jade - it's very olive color in nature - definitely stone. The top is clearly marked Sterling on the top side of the hinge. The hinge works properly and is tight. The bottle measures 3 3/4 inches long. The top comes off the bottle for cleaning or filling. There is some residue in the bottle but not being an expert in these bottles I choose to leave it as is.
All in all it's pretty cool. Wanted to keep it - it's so cool. Estate find and of course it is the only one I have. Any questions don't hesitate to ask - I am not an expert on these bottles - just a lover.
