Antique Royal Blue Pendant Necklace Bohemian Spinel Blown Glass

Glass center cab is a hand blown piece prong set denoting the age. My best guess is Bohemian. Spinel? Late 1800's. Fabulous filigree details - actually 2 different layers each with it's own unique design. The oval center piece measures a large 3.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall.  I love the detail on this piece. The necklace measures  18 inches long. I did replace a missing clasp with a newer stronger spring ring clasp. I love this piece - hope you will too - it's amazing. 

This piece has sat on my desk for quite awhile now. I really wanted to add a pin clasp onto the backside so it could be worn as a brooch but hesitated to alter the original configuration. There is a small dimple on one panel of the blue cap which is typical of hand blown cabs. It's a very interesting piece. Perfect for a Renaissance cosplay dress.
