Antique Alley Las Vegas

Posted by Bonnie on Apr 28th 2019

Hello Folks - I've been here in Vegas for 35 years - I've seen alot of changes - I decided to start a collector blog - I've posted it on FaceBook as well - I hope you will enjoy it over the months to come

Welcome to the Alley - I've toyed with the idea of a local group just for sellers and buyers in "The Alley"

Antique Alley in Las Vegas encompasses an older district of Las Vegas. In the "Old" days it was generally called the Naked City. (that's another story for later) It's not on the strip and not downtown - it's in the neverland between. Basically it runs from (squared) Wyoming - Western - Charleston and Main. There was also an interesting district along east Charleston - that's another whole story.

There used to be a great place called the Red Rooster. It was located on Charleston and Western. My gosh I have no clue how many years it was there. Those were the good old gals and guys - the real pickers of old. Many a treasure came out of that building. The site isn't even there anymore. It gave way to the new Neon Project. I miss that place.
I hope that I will make the time to expand on this newest page. I'd love to share the history of this unique area with everyone. I'll try to keep you up on the happenings in the district - new stores - old stores long gone. The characters who make the Alley a Legend and the newcomers striving to keep it going. So many stories to tell. Contributing information is always welcome.

****Update - gave up - sorry folks - adding another venue to my already swamped schedule was just too much for me - now I simply ad antiques and collectibles to the page.  I'm a great starter and a dud at finishing.
