I purchased this item from a small shop in Egypt in Aswan early 90's - was not new when I got it so I have no clue how old it actually is. It's a large piece measuring just over 3 inches long and just under 2 inches wide. Each side has a different arabic design with several different color agate stone pave set. The chain is very ethnic in nature and measuring 32" in length. The top does come off and is attached with a small chain - only one I have like this.
