Westmoreland Glass Plate Mary Gregory Black White Enamel Girl Dog BeadRage

An immaculate Jet black glass plate hand painted by Mary Gregory from Westmoreland Glass. A sweet young girl playing with her dog. Each black Glass plate is hand painted in white enamel to contrast with the shiny jet black lattice designed rim. The plate has the Westmoreland Glass mark (WG) on the back and the original gold sticker still on the front. Measures 8 ½ in in diameter. Each plate weighs 1 lb. 5 oz. The plate is in excellent condition, like new, with no chips, cracks or crazing. They don't get much nicer than this.

The Westmoreland Glass Company in the USA introduced "Mary Gregory" designs on pressed glass from 1957 until they closed in 1984. This plate was probably purchased in the 70's perhaps earlier.
